Relationships evolve in many ways and all couples have strengths and weaknesses. Couples sometimes know when they need help working through their difficulties. Whether your relationship is challenged by long-term issues or by recent events, working with a couples therapist can be extremely valuable.
There is usually a desire for wholeness and security in partnerships but often when couples become entangled in patterns of negative interactions, they loose their way.
Relationships can strengthen and flourish when individuals are able to understand their own unmet needs and those of their partner, and then work to support each other. This leads to new possibilities for interpersonal dynamics and change.
